School of Business Management & Hospitality
The School of Business and Hospitality Management (SBHM) was established to provide students with opportunities to develop competencies in business, hospitality, sports management, culinary arts, and aviation management, in line with the rapid growth of the service industry and the nation’s digital economy.
The disciplines offered under SBHM continue to evolve and require a skilled workforce capable of meeting industry demands. In response to these needs, SBHM takes a proactive approach by offering industry-relevant, up-to-date, and professionally recognised diploma programmes that prepare students for successful careers in their chosen fields.
At SBHM, learning goes beyond the classroom. With a 60% practical and 40% theoretical learning approach, students gain hands-on experience through industry projects, practical training, and real-world applications. Supported by the Work-Based Learning (WBL) model, our programmes ensure graduates are equipped with the skills, experience, and confidence needed to excel in today’s competitive industries.
In addition to classroom-based learning, students are required to undergo industry training in accordance with the requirements of their respective programmes, enabling them to gain practical exposure and firsthand experience in professional workplace settings. The programmes are delivered by qualified lecturers and industry experts whose extensive professional experience ensures that students receive relevant, high-quality, and industry-focused training.
Upon graduation, SBHM diploma holders may pursue further studies at the Bachelor's degree level in both public and private higher education institutions, subject to the respective admission requirements.
