Programme Overview

Digital Media Content Production

This programme in media technology is designed to strengthen the development of media and information technology industries. The programme exposes students to presentation techniques in broadcasting, including video and film production. Students are given the opportunity to develop specialised skills by integrating various disciplines such as design, technology, and communication to create engaging and relevant works using digital media technology.

In addition, this programme provides students with the opportunity to participate in the Industrial @ Campus programme at ICYM Global, offering valuable industry experience. This exposure enhances students’ practical knowledge in broadcasting, media production, and information technology while strengthening their technical competencies.

With a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and industry experience, graduates of the Diploma in Media Technology will be well-prepared to meet challenges and seize opportunities in the rapidly evolving media and technology industries.

Entry Requirements

Pass SPM with a minimum of THREE (3) credits in any subjects, or its equivalent; OR

Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with a minimum of ONE (1) Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject, or its equivalent; OR

Pass the Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) with a minimum of ONE (1) Maqbul grade in any subject, or its equivalent; OR

Possess a Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 / Malaysian Vocational Certificate (SVM) (Note: The educational institution will conduct screening and provide specific course guidance); OR

Possess a Certificate (Level 3, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent; OR

Other relevant qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

AND Pass an Interview OR Submission of a student portfolio as determined by the educational institution.
